Roof Garden Café at the Met

You feel as though you're in the canopy at the Met's fourth floor rooftop garden. The trees of Central Park start right in front of you and continue far into the distance. This beautiful and serene view is best in the the early evening, when the apartment buildings that line the park are orange in the light of the falling sun. Although you'll likely have to spend some time waiting in line for the mediocre and expensive the drinks on offer, no-one cares. This is such a special place that the crowd, which naturally includes a lot of DSLR-bearing tourists, is friendly and more than usually receptive to amorous advances. Make sure to double check the opening hours, as you can get up here only when the museum is open, and only in spring, summer and fall.
